Wilma Browning Lichfield, Providence, was named Utah Classic Mom of the Year. She was a finalist in the national contest sponsored by American Movie Classics.
She and her husband, Walter, are parents of nine sons and four daughters.She was a member of the Rocky Mountain Symphony for two years, and has had poetry published in Utah Sings and in the World Book of Poetry. She also writes musical compositions and plays.
Ray Farrell, Heber Light and Power manager, has been re-elected to the Intermountain Power Agency board of directors.
Farrell was first elected to the board in 1977 when IPA was formed to finance, construct and operate the massive Intermountain Power Project near Delta.
R. Jay Bawden has been appointed administrator at Charter Summit Hospital.
Bawden, a Salt Lake native and graduate of the University of Utah, has served as CEO of Hospital Corporation of America's Monte Vista Hospital in Las Vegas. Previously, he was associate administrator of the company's Houston International Hospital.
He was a pharmacist at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, director of pharmacy at Orem Community Hospital and director of human resources for Charter Canyon Hospital.
Bawden says he is a strong advocate for the mentally ill, and wants to make Charter Summit more available as a community resource for people with emotional and addictive disease needs.
