Failed Polish presidential candidate Stanislaw Tyminski returned to Canada Wednesday but vowed to return to Poland to face slander charges and form an underground political party.

Tyminski, who lost Sunday's run-off presidential election to Lech Walesa, told a throng of reporters: "Yes, I'm going back on (Jan.) 5."Tyminski was given permission to leave Poland Tuesday after posting $100,000 bail to ensure his return. He faces charges he insulted former Prime Minister Tadeusz Mazowiecki during the presidential campaign.
