Ralph Carlos Carlston, age 67, died December 11, 1990.

Born June 4, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ralph Clay and Kessie Swensen Carlston. He married Barbara Hull on July 17, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah.He was an avid artist, photographer, gardner and enjoyed ceramics. He loved the beauty of outdoors and capturing it on film or canvas. He received several awards with his paintings and photographs. He won a silver award at Best in the West Multi-Media Festival in Park City in 1987. He was a fireman, Salt Lake City Fire Department.

Survived by wife, Barbara; son, Kent, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughters, Karen Carlston, Conifer, Colorado; Joann Hadfield, Newport Beach, California; two granddaughters, Rachel Carlston-Alexander; Andrea Carlston. Preceded in death by sister, Louise Andrew.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 Noon, December 14,1990 at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call one hour prior. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
