Elva Sproul Hamilton, 84, died December 11, 1990 in Ephraim, Utah
Born January 5, 1906 in Washington, Utah a daughter of Andrew and Eveline Chidester Sproul, Jr. Married Alvin LaVar Hamilton, Dec. 22, 1922 in Los Angeles, Calif. Marriage later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died Mar. 2, 1983.Member of LDS Church. Played piano in "Harmonica Band" for 40 years. Involved in music as a chorister, as well as choirs, solo, duets and groups. She was a teacher in Primary, Relief Society and YWMIA. Past president of American Legion Auxilliary and past captain of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was a Manti LDS Temple Worker with her husband for 13 years.
Survived by sons; Darwin, LaMar, Larkin, Myron and Tony; daughters Mary and Bonnie; sister, Edith Seegmiller, St. George, Utah; 41 grandchildren, 57 great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Preceeded in death by son, Rowland.
Funeral services, Friday, Dec. 14, 1990 at 1 p.m. Fairview 2nd and 3rd Ward Chapel. Friends call Ursenbach Funeral Home, Thursday 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at Ward Chapel one hour prior to services. Interment, Fairview City Cemetery.
