Automated Language Processing Systems Inc. has signed a contract with IBM World Trade Corp. for development of an Asian language Translator's Workstation.

Salt Lake-based Automated Language will be developing English to Asian language translation software for IBM's PS/55 line of personal computers, running the OS/2-J operating system, to create the workstation.The workstation will be used internally by IBM for translation of both on-line and printed technical documentation into Asian languages. The system will initially be developed for the Japanese language and will later be enhanced with support for Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
