Elva Estelle Hanks Seymour, 91, died December 9, 1990 in American Fork, Utah, of causes incident to age.
She was born January 9, 1899 in Georgetown, California, to James Melvin and Lucy Ann Delamater Hanks. She married Lewis William Seymour June 6, 1920 in Sacramento, California. He died April 14, 1963.She was a native resident of California, raised in Sacramento. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church. She loved her family and they loved her. She will always be remembered for her quiet example of faith, love, kindness, patience, and unselfishness.
Survived by two sons and five daughters, James Melvin, Robert Abbott, Mrs. Samuel L. (Lois) Martin, Mrs. Reed L. (Emma Lou) Poulson, Mrs. Douglas (Loree) Parry, all of California; Mrs. J. Dean (Rosemary) Jones, Highland; Mrs. Chester (Patricia) Jones, Arizona; 40 grandchildren; 110 great-grandchildren; brother, James Paul Hanks, California. Preceded in death by two sons, Lewis William, Jr. and John Francis.
Services will be held Wednesday, 7 p.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Additional Services will be Saturday, December 15, at the Price Funeral Home in Citrus Heights, California. Burial will be in the East Lawn Cemetery, Sacramento, California.
