Antonio Giorgio, age 92, our loved and respected father and grandfather, died December 9, 1990 in a West Jordan hospital.

Born June 23, 1898 in Minervino Murge (Bari), Italy to Luigi and Maria Sabina Pantone Giorgio. Married Maria Louisa Pezzilli in Trani, Italy, December 31, 1922. She preceded him in death August 4, 1976.Antonio was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of World War I, serving in the Italy Armed Forces where he received decorations for service and valor, including the Croce Di Cavaliere medal. He came to the U.S. in 1955, living in Midvale, Utah since then.

Survivors: daughters, Mrs. John (Sabine) Calvetti, Hesperia, California; Mrs. Feno (Josie) Xaiz, Midvale; sons, Francois Giorgio and his wife, Filomena, Rockville, Maryland; Pierre Giorgio and his wife, Dora, Nurenberg, West Germany; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Yvonne Giorgio, West Jordan; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two nephews and three nieces in Milano, Italy. Preceded in death by a son, Louis Giorgio.

Funeral Mass Wednesday, December 12, 1990, 10 a.m. in St. Therese Catholic Church, 75 East Lennox St., Midvale. Holy rosary and vigil service Tuesday 7:30 p.m., Goff Mortuary 8090 South State, where friends may call Tuesday 6-7:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 9-9:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
