Golfers take time Sunday to enjoy the serene setting of Nibley Park golf course in Salt Lake City, even though the trees have lost most of their leaves and there were a few patches of snow on the ground. Hazy, smoggy conditions caused zero visibility Monday morning at the Salt Lake International Airport and low visibility in the Murray, West Valley and Taylorsville areas. But there were no delays in landings and takeoffs by 9:45 a.m. Monday, an official said. A minor storm system may bring rain or rain showers to the valleys and scattered snow in the mountains by late Tuesday and early Wednesday. A substantial storm could hit Thursday afternoon, continuing through the rest of the week and making traveling difficult, said William J. Alder, National Weather Service meteorologist.
