Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Donna Poulton Bates, 63, passed away December 9, 1990, at home following a lingering illness.

Born September 19, 1927 in Salt Lake City to Frank R. and Edna Williams Poulton. Married Eldon Bates March 15, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Donna was a member of The LDS Church and served a mission in the Canada Ontario Mission. She also served faithfully in many other callings. She will be remembered for sharing her musical talents and her warm heart. Donna will be greatly missed.She is survived by her husband, son and daughters, Mrs. James (Edna) Readles, Phil and wife Linda Bates, Mrs. Bradley (Janet) Steward, Staci and Donell Bates; brothers, Daryl Poulton, Kenneth Poulton; sister, Maurine Bergstrom, all of Salt Lake City; and her six wonderful grandchildren. Preceded in death by one brother, LaMarr Poulton and a son, Douglas Bates.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 1990, at the Brighton 11th Ward Chapel, 3001 East Creek Road (8100 South). Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East 7600 South, Tuesday from 6-8:30 p.m. and at the church from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Mountain View Estates.
