Daniel, Wasatch County-Dean Bethers, 80, passed away December 8, 1990 at his home following a short illness.
He was born August 6, 1910 in Provo, Utah to Albert Francis and Almira Tiffany Bethers. Married Arthella Remund July 12, 1933 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, having served as Bishop of the Daniel Ward for eleven years and in various other church callings. He and his wife served an LDS Mission in the Canada Toronto Mission in 1972-73. He and his wife were workers in the Provo Temple for eleven years. He worked in the mines in Park City before becoming a carpenter by trade for thirty five years.Survived by his wife of Daniel; children, Mrs. Banks (Marva) Monk, Palmyra; Mrs. Eugene (Maxine) Sorensen and Dale Bethers both of Daniel; Mrs. Richard (Deana) Leckie, Peoria, Arizona; Mrs. Stephen (Linda) Adams, Orem; Vaun Bethers, Logan; 47 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Leslie Bethers, Heber City; Howard Bethers, Salt Lake City; Ned Bethers, Bountiful; Mrs. Fred (Irene) Llewellyn, LaVerkin; Mrs. Leo (Erma) Owen, Hunter. Preceded in death by three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Alvin Bethers, Mrs. Cloyd (Norma) Nelson and Mrs. Ellis (Effie) Thacker.
Funeral services Wednesday, December 12th, at 12 Noon in the Heber East Stake Center, 2395 South Millroad, Heber City. Friends may call at Olpin Mortuary, Heber City, Tuesday 7-9 P.M. and Wednesday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial, Heber City Cemetery.
