Rebecca Anne Finch Phillips, 84, of Spanish Fork, died Sunday, December 9, 1990 at the Mountain View Hospital in Payson.

She was born on February 2, 1906 in Spanish Fork, the daughter of John W. Finch and Elizabeth Rebecca King Finch. She married Thomas Morris Phillips on May 1, 1925 in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He passed away on March 29, 1981. She attended schools in Spanish Fork, graduated from Spanish Fork High School. She moved to Ogden in 1941 with her husband, and worked for J.C. Penney's for 23 years as a sales clerk and department manager. They moved back to Spanish Fork in 1966. She and her husband organized the Spanish Fork Senior Citizens, and she has been very active in that group. She was a active member of the LDS Church, and served in many positions. She was a devoted grandmother to many nieces and nephews.Survivors include one son: Thomas J. Phillips, Spanish Fork; two sisters and one brother: Vada Wright, Yerington, Nevada; Mrs.Merril (Laura) Bingham; and Jack K. Finch, both of Spanish Fork.She was preceded in death by a son: Richard Phillips in 1935; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Spanish Fork 19th LDS Ward Chapel, 650 West 400 North, Spanish Fork. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. or Wednesday at the ward Relief Society room one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
