Three teams stand atop the first-week standings of the Scenic West Athletic Conference, including last year's unbeaten College of Southern Idaho.

Ricks College and North Idaho College share the 2-0 lead, and Dixie College is also unbeaten at 1-0.Ricks went 8-1 during the 1989-90 season and Northern Idaho was 6-2 on the year.

The College of Eastern Utah, which posted a 7-3 record last year, has lost its first two games this year.

Southern Idaho is being led by David Anderson, who canned 26 points in a 88-67 home win over Salt Lake Community College Friday. It followed that victory with a 91-74 win Saturday over Utah Valley Community College.

Rick's Clint Bailey scored 36 points in a 98-92 win Friday over the College of Eastern Utah in Price. He came back Saturday to score 27 points in a 136-125 run-and-gun win in Rangley, Colo., over Colorado Northwestern. Joe Merideth scored 37 and Darrel Stanley scored 33 for the Spartans.

Dixie College's Cliff Reed scored 20 points and had 15 rebounds in a 98-83 victor over Snow College Saturday at home in St. George. Snow's Jim Crosbie scored 27 points.

In other action, Treasure Valley had back-to-back losses to Utah Valley, 78-63 Friday and to Salt Lake 91-63 Saturday.
