The Salt Lake Golden Eagles came back from a loss the night before to beat the Peoria Rivermen 4-2 Saturday night.

C.J. Young led the Eagles with two goals, while Bryan Deasley and Richard Zemlak chipped in one apiece. Young has now scored a goal in five straight games.Salt Lake Coach Bob Francis is pleased with Young's play. "He's improving all the time; he's getting better and better, said Francis. "It's nice to see he's seeing some results from his hard work."

Young took a pass from Rich Chernomaz and broke in on the net alone after getting by the Peoria defense for the first of his two goals. The second was an empty net score near the end of the game.

Salt Lake went into the game short one man - Marc Bureau, out with a pulled groin suffered in Friday night's game.

Francis commented on the way his team played well despite being without Bureau. "All night we had to really bear down and do the thankless jobs, and the guys simply gave an exceptional effort," said Francis.

Once again, Francis was impressed with the work of his goalie, Steve Guennette. "He (Guenette) dug down deep and came through," said Francis.

Salt Lake has now won four of its last five games and eight of its last 10. The Eagles are off until next weekend (Dec. 14-15) when they play Phoenix.
