The next production for Park City Performances will be A. R. Gurney Jr.'s "The Dining Room," directed by Rafael Colon Castanera.
"The Dining Room," which had a long run off-Broadway, has six performers portraying an array of diverse characters. They depict the dying lifestyle of wealthy WASPdom and the now-neglected room that was once a center of family life.Castanera's cast includes Steve Kerr, Laura Clayton, Rai French, Steve Phillips, Linda Littel and Valerie Merrit.
Kerr and Clayton were most recently seen in PCP's "Personals."
Clayton was in "The Fantasticks" at The Broadway Stage and Kerr, a former University of Utah student, has been seen in several Pioneer Theatre Company productions.
"The Dining Room" opens Friday, Dec. 14, and continues on Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. through Jan. 5 at the Egyptian Theater, 328 Main St., Park City. There will be no performance on Jan. 2. Tickets, available Dec. 11, are $12 for adults, $9 for students and senior citizens, and $8 for children.
