Seven Peaks Resort Water Park is wishing residents a merry Christmas in a big way - with thousands of bright yule lights strung all over the park.

The lights will be turned on each night at dark, Paul Mix, park general manager said. Christmas music also will be played from 6 to 10 p.m."The Borcherds (park owners) really, really like to celebrate Christmas," Mix said. "When you think lights, think Seven Peaks."

The Association of Involved Merchants named the Seven Peaks Resort Hotel, located at 101 W. 100 North, the best-decorated business in downtown Provo this Christmas, Mix said.

Seven Peaks hopes people will bring their families for a ride by the brightly lit park during the holiday season.

"Provo doesn't have a Temple Square or Christmas Street," he said. "People don't have a place they can drive to and see a lot of lights."

At least they didn't until now.
