A tree lighting and remembrance ceremony in honor of military personnel stationed overseas is planned Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. on the northwest lawn of Charter Summit Hospital, 175 W. 7200 South.
A short program of music, a message and group caroling will be part of the ceremony. Refreshments will be provided.Families and individuals are invited to bring an ornament with a service member's name on it to place on the tree. The hospital is also offering free support groups to the families of service members who are overseas. The groups are led by counselor John Herring, who has a son serving in the Middle East.
