Jerry W. Goodman, an Arizona native, has been appointed manager of the Richfield District of the Bureau of Land Management. He succeeds Don Pendleton, who retired earlier this year.
The new district manager is transferring from the Salmon District in Idaho, where he held a similar position. He was also an associate district manager and chief of the Division of Resource Management in Salmon. His tenure there started in 1978.Prior to that, Goodman was an area resource manager in the Divide Resource Area at Rawlins, Wyo., and in Cedar City. He began his government service as a natural resource specialist in Colorado.
Gordon Staker has been named district manager of the BLM's Cedar City district, succeeding Morgan Jensen, who also retired.
Staker returns to Utah from Oregon, where he has been chief of the Oregon State BLM's Biological Resource Branch. The Mount Pleasant native has worked for the BLM for the past 23 years.
