Our beloved companion Dale Vernace Benson, 62, died peacefully December 4, 1990 at the Logan Regional Hospital of complications resulting from heart failure.

He was born June 19, 1928 in Logan, Utah, the son of Vernace Ray and Edna Boman Benson. His mother died when he was four months old. His father then married Bessie Morse. He married his sweetheart Janice Rawlins on November 9, 1948 in the Logan LDS Temple.He is survived by his wife, Janice, Newton; three sons and one daughter; Lee and Kathy Benson, Jeff and Charlene Benson, Eddie and Jamie Benson, all of Newton; Clayton and Sally Snow, South Jordan, Utah; three brothers, Val Benson, Burke Benson, both of Newton; Morse Benson, Murray, Utah; also surviving are his step-mother, Mrs. Bessie M. Benson, Logan; mother-in-law, Mrs. Thelma Rawlins, Paradise; 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son Shane and two grandsons Kyle and Corey.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 8, 1990 at 1 p.m. in the Newton LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Gary Jorgensen conducting. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center, Logan on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward on Saturday from 11:30 till 12:30. Interment will be in the Newton Cemetery.
