Joy Ann Beckstead Chamberlain, 55, died December 6, 1990 at her home in Salt Lake City.
She was born September 13, 1935 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Leonard C. and Evelyn Crump Beckstead. She married S. Burt Chamberlain on June 10, 1959 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She spent her early years and was educated in Riverton and also graduated from B.Y.U. She taught school at Granite High School for seven years and has recently worked as an office manager. She was an active member of the LDS Church, having served as a ward and stake Relief Society president. She was an accomplished pianist and organist.She is survived by her husband, Burt, Salt Lake City; a son, Bryan and wife, Dianna Chamberlain, Sandy; two daughters, Suzanne and husband, Christian Dahl, Sandy; Becky and husband, Dallas Moore, Salt Lake City; her parents, Leonard and Evelyn Beckstead of Riverton; two sisters, Mrs. Calvin (Judy) Jenkins, Salt Lake City and Glora Westenskow, Ogden. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 10, 1990 at 11 a.m. in the Big Cottonwood LDS Stake Center, 1750 E. Spring Lane (5000 South). Friends may call at the Mackay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive, Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the Church Monday morning one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the South Jordan Cemetery, 10650 So. 1055 West.
