In spite of mild opposition, the State Industrial Commission has adopted a rule that allows for several new forms that must be filled out in connection with re-employment of an injured worker.

Joyce Sewell, director of the commission's Industrial Accidents Division, said the commission isn't trying to put a burden on Utah businesses to fill out the forms and send them to the commission, but earlier this year the Legislature mandated that the state agency start gathering statistics on workers' compensation cases.Larry Bunkall, president of the Utah Manufacturers Association, said the majority of businesses in Utah are small and the new pile of forms will be a burden to them. He said large businesses usually can absorb the new work without it being a burden.
