Incumbent Carl Andra has won a third six-year term on the Granger-Hunter Improvement District board.
Andra won 344 of the 703 votes cast in a special election Wednesday, beating five other candidates for the post on the three-member board.District Manager Gerald L. Larson said the turnout for the election was one of the largest ever, as was the slate of candidates. However, he said, 30,764 registered voters were eligible to cast ballots.
The unofficial election results show Dale Birch coming in second with 166 votes. Charles Pipkin had 139 votes; William Hansen, 25; Carol Brown, 20; and Terry Wirth, 9.
