Chad Steven Tyler, 34, passed away December 4, 1990 at his home.
He was born August 1, 1956, in Pocatello, Idaho to Dale Curtis and Theona Morris Tyler, the fifth of six children. The family moved from their home in Rockland, Idaho to Salt Lake City in 1957 and to Bountiful, Utah in 1959.He loved sports, played baseball, basketball, football, and loved to ski. He attended Centerville Jr. High, Rockland (Idaho) High School and graduated from Viewmont High in 1974. He also attended Ricks College and Utah State University. He had worked for Nu Stone, and for the last six years as a mail carrier in the Layton Post Office. The Post Office said "That he was loved by those who he delivered the mail to". On October 8, 1989, he married Melanie Stanley.
He is loved and will be missed by those who survived him; his parents, Rockland, Idaho; his wife Melanie; stepchildren, Brandon and Melissa; four brothers, Jim C. Tyler, Roy; M. Vance Tyler, Clinton; Dennis Tyler, Kearns; David Tyler, Perry, Utah; and one sister, Mrs. Mark (Lee Ann) Tebbs, Bountiful; and many nieces and nephews who love him dearly.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 7, 1990 at 11 a.m. in the Bountiful 27th Ward, 1145 North 200 East, Bountiful. Friends may call Thursday, from 7-9 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main. Also Friday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the Valley View Cemetary, Rockland, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of Chad to Primary Childrens Medical Center.
