Blanche Davis Johnson, 88, passed away December 4, 1990 at the Sanpete Valley Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.

Born September 3, 1902 in Provo, Utah a daughter of Albert and Mary Elizabeth Broadbent Davis. Married Rulon L. Johnson, June 6, 1928 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Received B.S. degree from BYU in home economics. Taught school in American Fork and Moroni High School. Established school lunch program for 19 Utah Counties and was school lunch supervisor in North Sanpete School Dist. from 1947-1969. President of Utah Counties School Foods Service for four years. Her church service began as a child and continued throughout her life. Age group counselor for 11 years. Primary president, Relief Society counselor, Visiting Teacher for many years. Served as ordinance worker in the Manti LDS Temple for 21 years. Honorary Golden Gleaner Award for her many years of service.

Survived by husband of Moroni; two daughters, LaRue Braithwaite, Salt Lake City and Elaine Canfield, Layton, Utah; nine grand-children and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Eva Ovard, Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Funeral services, Friday, December 7, 1990 at 1 p.m. Moroni LDS Stake Center. Friends call Ursenbach Funeral Home, Thursday 7-9 p.m. Friday at Stake Center one hour prior to services. Interment, Moroni Cemetery.
