Guerrillas fatally shot kidnapped businessman Jorge Lonsdale, president of a Coca Cola bottling company in Bolivia, when police forces broke into the rebel hideout, authorities said.

Police killed three of the kidnappers in a shootout Wednesday with what police said were members of the extreme left-wing Nestor Paz Zamora Commission.Interior Minister Guillermo Capobianco said part of the rebel organization "is arrested and the other part dead in combat."
