Eusebio "Marco" Marquez, age 71, died December 2, 1990 at his home in East Carbon after a valiant fight with cancer.

Born March 5, 1919 in Rosa, New Mexico, son of Pedro and Tomasita Quintana Marquez. Married Lilly Abeyta September 12, 1945 in Alamosa, Colorado. Active member Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Served in the U.S. Army inWorld War II; Papuan, New Guinea, Red Arrow Division. VFW Post 2379; American Legion East Carbon Branch Post No. 137, UMWA Local 8003, Horse Canyon; Kaiser Steel Local No. 9958. Marco was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.Survived by his wife, Lilly Marquez; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Peggy) Mena, Mrs. Jim (Shirley) Berg, Mrs. Steve (Annette) Madrid; two sisters, Eloisa Padilla, Aztec, New Mexico; Clorinda Martinez, Salt Lake City; one brother, Christobal Marquez, Albuquerque, New Mexico; seven grandchildren, Rodney, Brandon, Alesha, Brooke, Marcus, Brittany, Amanda; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass Friday, 10 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in East Carbon. Vigil service Thursday evening 7 p.m. also at the church. Friends may call Mitchell Chapel Thursday and at the Church Thursday and Friday prior to services. Committal Service: Price City Cemetery.
