Attorney William F. Atkin, from Baker and McKenzie in San Francisco, will speak at Brigham Young University Thursday, Dec. 6.
"The Expatriate American Manager: The Ugly American vs. Citizen of the World" is the title of his address to be given at 2 and 4 p.m. in 710 Tanner Building.His presentation will focus on the importance of cultural sensitivity when involved with managing non-Americans outside the United States.
Atkin has been a partner of Baker and McKenzie since 1987. He practiced in Taiwan from 1984 to 1987 and in Venezuela from 1980 to 1982.
Atkin was a trial attorney in the United States Department of Justice, in the civil division in New York from 1976 to 1979.
