Madonna, a master at making videos that generate almost as much controversy as they do record sales, wants to know why violence is acceptable for television and steamy sex scenes are not.
Madonna appeared on ABC-TV's "Nightline" early Tuesday in an interview just after the news program aired her too-hot-for-MTV video "Justify My Love" in its entirety. The video, rejected by MTV last week, features the singer in an encounter with a lover, played by her real-life boyfriend, Tony Ward, in a Paris hotel.
She told interviewer Forrest Sawyer via satellite from Los Angeles that the video was about "honesty . . . and the celebration of sex. There's nothing wrong with that."
