Documentary evidence shows presidential candidate Stanislaw Tyminski was judged unfit for regular military service in 1968 before he went abroad to make his fortune, contrary to Tyminski's denials.

As evidence came to light of what had been rumors, it also became obvious that the communist government of Poland had kept track of him after he left the country.Tyminski was hooted down by supporters of his opponent, Lech Walesa, at a campaign rally.
