Tony Jeffery rushed for 282 yards and two touchdowns and Johnny Mattress threw for three touchdowns Sunday as Coffeyville won the junior college championship with a 58-20 victory over Montgomery in the Mid-America Bowl.

Jeffery, whose 282 yards for the Kansas school was a Mid-America Bowl record, was named the offensive player of the game. The previous record was 244 yards by Northeastern Oklahoma's Alfred Rawls in 1987.Steve Reed intercepted two passes and recovered an onside kick to win defensive player of the game honors for Coffeyville (11-0). The Ravens set bowls records for points scored and rushing yards (456).
