The second annual Not-For-Profit Seminar, a free gathering for executives, administrators and key volunteers in not-for-profit organizations, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, in the Haynie Building, 1785 W. 2300 South.

Speakers will be Margaret Langman, Division of Consumer Protection, Utah Department of Commerce, who will discuss Utah's charitable solicitation laws and requirements on fund-raising organizations; Bruce L. Olson, a Salt Lake attorney, who will review charitable solicitation laws and developments of charitable and governmental entities in purchasing materials without paying sales or use tax; and Scott A. Czaja, a certified public accountant with Haynie & Company.Czaja will review the federal tax exemption application process, the annual federal and state filing requirements and recent happenings in the not-for-profit sector.
