If you're looking for an unusual Christmas gift, the state Division of Parks and Recreation suggests you try out the 1991 Annual Park Permit or Family Park Permits.

The Annual Park Permit allows the cardholder and up to seven other guests traveling in the same vehicle access during the day to any of Utah's 44 state parks. The permit sells for $50.The Family Park Permit allows the cardholder and up to seven guests traveling in the same vehicle access to one park of their choice throughout 1991. The permit sells for $25.

Both passes are day-use passes only, and camping fees must be paid if park visitors choose to stay overnight. Permits are available at any of Utah's state parks of the division's main office at 1636 W. North Temple.
