The Deseret News summer reading/coloring contest is drawing to a close. Just a reminder that entries must be received by Aug. 15.
Entries should include a list of books read during the summer. A minimum of 10 books must be included, but more can be listed. The list should be signed by a parent.With the list of books, send in your finished colored drawing (either the original that ran in the paper in June or a copy or reprint; reprints are still available at Deseret News offices).
Send the drawing and book list to: Deseret News Summer Reading, P.O. Box 1257, Salt Lake City, UT 84110.
Entries will be judged on originality of coloring and variety of titles chosen. Judges' decision will be final.
Winners will be selected in the following categories: pre-schoolers; children entering kindergarten to grade 2; children entering grades 3-4; children entering grades 5-6.
Winners in each age group will receive gifts certificates from Deseret Book. All children who participate will receive an award certificate from the Deseret News.
All entries become the property of the Deseret News and cannot be returned.
