Mary Joy Decker Archbold, age 59, died Monday November 26, 1990, at Dixie Regional Medical Center.
She was born Ocoter 30, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph Finley and Joy Jensen Decker. She married Ralph Archbold June 25, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah.Reared and educated in Salt Lake City, Mrs. Archbold lived there until until moving to St. George in 1988. She was a graduate of Granite High School and attended the University of utah for two years. She was employed for 20 years as an account executive for Blue Cross and Blue Shiedl. She was a member of the Ladies of Elks Lodge #85 in Salt Lake City and Lodge #1743 in St. George. She enjoyed reading, travel and golf.
Surviving family members in clude her husband, Ralph, St. George; two sons, R. Scott(Mary) Archbold and Jeffrey Decker(Julie) Archbold, both of Salt Lake City; three granchildre; also one brother and two sisters, Thomas Decker; Carolyn Erkickson; and Mrs. Robers (Susan) Erwin, all of Salt Lake City.
Graveside services will be held Friday, november 30, 1990 at 1 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 17th East, Sandy. Friends may call at the Larkin Sunset Gradens Chapel from 11-12:30 p.m. prior to service. Friends may, if they wish, in lieu of flowers, make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
