James Edward McKenna, 68, died Tuesday, November 27, 1990 at McKay-Dee Hospital of cancer.
He was born June 30, 1922 in Ogden, a son of Francis and Cecelia Poorman McKenna. He married Mary Hualde on July 7, 1944 in San Diego, California. He was a lifelong resident of Ogden, attended Ogden City schools, graduating from Ogden High School. He was a member of the Ogden 73rd LDS Ward.He worked for Brown and Bigelow Advertising for 42 years. Mr. McKenna received many and various awards while working for them. He was a member of the McKay-Dee Foundation; Ogden Pioneer Days Committee; Ogden Elks; and was very active in the Ogden Jaycee's.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy.
Survived by his wife, Ogden; three sons and two daughters, J. Michael and Nancy McKenna, Enumclaw, Wash.; J. Kelly Mckenna, Colorado Springs, Colo.; J. Patrick and Ann McKenna, Tracy, Calif.; Mrs. Greg (Karen) Tanner; and Mrs. Scott (Colleen) Heiner, both Sandy; 15 grandchildren.
Also surviving are his mother, Cecilia J. Warner, Ogden; four brothers, Robert McKenna, Ogden; Keith Warner, Kennewick, Wash.; Dr. Ted J. Warner, Provo; Delbert L. Warner, Boise, Idaho. He was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park.
