Vickie Singer's request to be released from jail pending sentencing has been denied, one of her attorneys said.

U.S. District Chief Judge Bruce S. Jenkins denied the request made in June, before Singer and three co-defendants were transferred to San Diego for pre-sentence evaluations.Singer, son-in-law Addam Swapp, his brother Jonathan, and Mrs. Singer's son Timothy face sentencing Sept. 2 on charges stemming from the bombing of a Mormon chapel at Marion last January and the polygamist clan's standoff of police for 13 days.

Mrs. Singer and the Swapp brothers were brought back to the Salt Lake County Jail last week following the pre-sentence evaluations. Timothy Singer reportedly remains at the federal detention facility in California.
