Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, Marilyn Helen Torgersen Middaugh died November 27, 1990 at her home in Sandy, Utah.
Born March 21, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah a daughter of Erling Olaf and Elizabeth Helen Koplin Torgersen. Married S. LeRoy Middaugh, March 14, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduated from South High School and the University of Utah.She taught elementary grades in Granite and Jordan School Districts for a number of years. An accomplished violinist, she performed with the McCune Symphony Orchestra. Active member in the LDS Church having served as ward Relief Society president and teacher; choir director; Young Women's advisor; and Primary teacher. She enriched many lives with her compassion and love.
Survived by her husband, S. LeRoy; two sons, Kevin R. Middaugh and wife Stephanie, West Jordan; Craig S. Middaugh and wife Dianne, West Valley City; two daughters, Michelle Middaugh, Sandy; and Tanya Dixon and husband Jim, West Jordan; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are her mother, Elizabeth; and two brothers, G. Earl Torgersen and Russell D. Torgersen, all of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by an infant brother.
Funeral services Saturday, December 1, 12 noon, Eastmont Ward Chapel, 9800 South Flint Drive (1150 East), Sandy. Friends may call at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, on Friday evening 6-8 pm, and at the Ward on Saturday, one hour prior to the service. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery.
