The Phoenix Suns have come a long way in a week.

Last Friday, they were embarrassed at home by the New Jersey Nets, who had broken a 34-game road losing streak two nights before. But the Suns regrouped Tuesday to score a big 123-109 road victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The setback knocked the Trail Blazers from the ranks of the unbeaten and ended Portland's 15-game winning streak, which dated back to the end of last season. It was Phoenix's first victory in Portland in 21 tries, dating back to April 8, 1983.
