Lee Strickland, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, passed away peacefully at his home in Grantsville November 25, 1990 at age 50 after a courageous battle with heart disease.
Born February 2, 1940 in Tooele to William G. and Ida Edwards Strickland. He married Karen Byington, April 20, 1962 in Elko, Nevada. He was employed at Akzo Salt Co. for the past 12 years. Lee loved life and lived it to its fullness. He had a great love for the outdoors and was building a summer cabin in the mountains of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. Lee will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.Survivors: wife, Karen; sons, Bill and his wife, Tracy; Alan Lee and his wife, Tameyra; and a daughter, Karen Kaye and her husband, John Sites; eight delightful grandchildren; parents, Ernest and Ida Erickson, all of Grantsville; brothers, William G., Murray; Gene, West Valley City; Lynn, Grantsville. Preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 29, 1990 at 1 p.m. in the Grantsville Stake Center, 550 East Durfee St. with Bishop Sidney K. Hullinger officiating. Friends may call at Tate Mortuary, 110 South Main St., Tooele on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior at the Church on Thursday. Interment, Tooele City Cemetery.
