Completion of a new four-diamond baseball park in Richfield has been enhanced with a $15,000 contribution from the Utah Power & Light Co.

In making the presentation, UP&L regional manager Scott Rasmussen said the company believes that corporations have a civic responsibility in the community and that the particular project will have substantial economic benefits for the area. The complex is being built near Sevier Valley Tech. The first two diamonds are expected to be completed in the spring and the other two in 1992, according to Pat Wilson, president of the Richfield Boys Baseball Association. He said the facility will help attract tournaments.

The park is a cooperative effort. Sevier Valley Tech donated the land while members of the Utah National Guard have worked in preparing the site. That labor and equipment contribution was valued at about $75,000.
