Earl James Black, age 70, died November 23, 1990 in Salt Lake City.
Born June 11, 1920 in Salix, Iowa, a son of Edmund and Annie Ogg Black. Married Ruth Forsyth, May 7, 1960 in Elko, Nevada. Retired from the military after 20 years of service. Also retired from the Federal Reserve Bank.Survived by wife, Ruth, stepchildren, Terry Peck, Midvale; Steve Peck, Salt Lake; Mrs. Tom (Annette) Hansen, West Valley; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Ellis Black; sisters, Edith Berney, Edna Bourrette, Evelyn Bailey, Jean Root, and Elma Drawbridge.
Funeral services, Tuesday 2 p.m., McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Rd., where friends may call Tuesday, 1-2 p.m. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
