Edward Greenwell Slaughter, age 78, passed away November 23, 1990 at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born November 12, 1912 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Edward Nathaniel and LaFrances Blanche Greenwell Slaughter. Married Mary Eloise Pike, June 24, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple. She passed away December 14, 1978 in Salt Lake. Married Thea R. Kowallis , June 19, 1979 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Active member of the LDS Church, holding many different positions of service as well as an Eagle Scout. Worked 25 years at Electrical Products and 29 years at Young Electric Sign Company. He enjoyed temple work and had a great skill and hobby in woodworking.Survived by his wife Thea of Salt Lake; four sons and two daughters, Edward Darrell (wife Joyce) Slaughter, Pittsburgh, PA., Duane Ray (wife Carol) Slaughter, Lynnette (husband Byron) Rogers, Both Salt Lake, Russell Eugene (wife Carolyn) Knight, Irvin, CA., Nadine Knight, Salt Lake, Marvin "K" (wife Olga) Knight, Dearborn, MI.; 18 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; two brothers, Donald F. (wife Margaret) Slaughter, Seattle WA, and Ward E. (wife Joan) Slaughter, Salt Lake City; and two sisters, Audrey (husband Robert K.) Davis, Lehi, and Jerry (husband Keith) Potts, Pittsburgh, PA.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 27, 1990 at 11:00 AM at the Monument Park 4th Ward, 2215 East Roosevelt Ave (1450 S.), with Bishop Richard Wood officiating. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the Church on Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn. Directing: Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
