Joseph Anthony Saccomanno, 72, died November 22, 1990 in a Price hospital.
Born December 22, 1917 in Spring Glen, Utah to Raffaele and Maria Teresa Potestio Saccmanno. Married Thelma Rask Flaim June 24, 1967 in Salt Lake City. Member Catholic Church, and St. Anthony's Knights of Columbuss. Lifelong resident of Carbon County, served U.S. Army, WW II. Formerly employed at the D.R.G.& W. Railroad, Helper. Retired from Keiser Steel Coal Mine in 1975. Member Stella D America Lodge #16, Helper. Member Rio Grande Vets.Survived by wife, Thelma, Helper; daughter, Bette Jo, Salt Lake City; step daughter, Mrs. Ken (Ernalle) Nelson, Aurora, Colo.; one brother, four sisters and their spouses, Charlie and Grace Saccomanno, Spring Glen; Tony and Carmella Priano; John and Mary Columbo, all Helper; Gemma and Ray Larcher, Price; Pauline and Joe Lapore, Midvale; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Armand.
Funeral Mass Monday, 10 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church. Vigil service Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Mitchell Chapel, where friends may call Saturday, Sunday, Monday prior to services. Committal service, Mountain View Cemetery, Helper.
