David Orin French, 40, died Wednesday, November 21, 1990, resulting from a tragic accident, while visiting in Phoenix, Arizona.
Born May 13, 1950 in Salt Lake City, to Robert Orin and Kathleen Ruth French. He attended Cathedral Elementary, Judge Memorial High, and received a BS degree in Mathematics from the University of Utah. An active member of the Catholic Church, a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. Known for his quiet capacity to give of himself. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. David was a gifted professional musician, who performed for many benefits and charitable organizations in the area. A tutor of mathematics, avid computer programmer, and software entrepreneur, and longtime employee of Archer Supply.He is survived by his mother, Kathleen French; brothers, Douglas and his children, Justin, Andrea, and Lorin; Paul and his children, Brian, Teresa, and Aaron; Thomas and wife, Gina and their daughter, Jessica, all Salt Lake City; sisters, Laura Larsen and husband, Michael and their sons, Timothy and Philip, Cyprus, California; Karen Stark and husband Maurice and their children, Marie Keuper and Curtiss, Boise, Idaho; Monica and husband David Huth and their children, Derick and Emily, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by his father, Robert.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10 a.m., at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 331 East South Temple. Vigil Service will be held Monday, 8 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. Committal service, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Ave. and T. Street.
