Swedish-born actress and author Signe Hasso will be awarded the estate of knighthood by the Supreme Council of the Spanish Imperial Order of Charles V.

The organization will bestow the honor, given to non-Spaniards, on Hasso Nov. 24 in the throne room of the castle in Segovia, Spain. Hasso previously was knighted in 1972 by the late King of Sweden, Gustav VI Adolph.The Spanish knighthood will be bequeathed for Hasso's "outstanding services to the performing arts and to literature" and will be bestowed by Prince Enrique de Borbon, cousin of Spain's King Juan Carlos I.
