Lenore Rock Olsen, 82, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 1990 at the Logan Regional Hospital.
Born November 5, 1908 in Avon, Utah to Frank and Elenore (Nellie) Bankhead Rock. She married Marion O. Olsen on April 28, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah.Lenore was educated in the Cache County School District, and lived in Paradise all her life. She was an active member of the LDS Church, having served in leadership positions in the various auxiliaries, including Relief Society presidency, Jr. Sunday School coordinator, and teacher. She was recognized as a faithful visiting teacher. Mrs. Olsen was active in the Sagwich Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, a member of the National Federation of Republican Women, and an officer in the Utah Woolgrowers Auxiliary. She also served many years as a pink lady at the Logan LDS Hospital.
Lenore took pride in her home and family, and enjoyed working in her yard and flowers.
Survived by husband, Paradise; two daughters, Mrs. LaMar (Geraldine) Anderson, Logan; Linda Lindley, Paradise; two brothers, Richard (Dick) Rock, Tremonton; and Arch Rock, Logan; three sisters, Beth Anderson, and Phyllis Cooper, both of Wellsville; Ann Beck, Logan; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two brothers, Frank E. and John B. (Jack) Rock.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 noon in the Paradise LDS Chapel. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan, Friday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and at the church Saturday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Interment, Paradise Cemetery.
