Daniel LaVar Mabey returned to his Heavenly Father November 21, 1990 at the age of 74.

Born January 8, 1916 in South Jordan, Utah son of Daniel Wood and Leona King Mabey. Married Ann Webb January 13, 1942 in Los Angeles, California. Marriage later solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple August 18, 1948.He was active member of LDS Church, temple worker in Jordan River Temple, and served faithfully in all his responsibilities. After serving in the Army in the South Pacific Theathre during World Ward II, he worked at the Utah Smelter 20 years, Hatchco Trucking, and also worked his farm. He loved to garden and be with his grandchildren and his family. Enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. He was a very loving and caring person, and took great joy in serving others. Will be deeply missed by all who knew him. We love you Dad and Grandpa.

Survived by wife, Ann, South Jordan; son and daughter-in-laws, LaMar Allen and Kathleen Mabey; and Bonnie Mabey, both of South Jordan; 11 grandchildren; sister, Leora Zier, College Place, Washington. Preceded in death by Dwayne LaVar; brothers, Leslie and Milford.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 noon at the South Jordan 10th Ward, 2450 West 104 South. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m., the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 South 2200 West, and Saturday one hour prior at the Church. Interment, South Jordan Cemetery.
