Centerville City will kick off the holiday season Monday, Dec. 3, with its traditional "Festival of Lights" ceremony at 7 p.m. in Founder's Park on Main Street just north of Parrish Lane.

Families will be treated to a welcome from Mayor Michael Kjar, musical selections from local schools, goodies and a visit from the Jolly Old Elf himself. Lt. Gov. Val Oveson will be on hand to flip the switch that lights up the park.
