A one-day seminar designed to assist employers and their attorneys in avoiding legal problems related to occupational safety and health laws will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, at 9 a.m. in the Marriott Hotel.

Sponsored by the National Business Institute Inc., "OSHA in the '90s in Utah" will examine what attorneys and employers should know about occupational safety and health law, employers' liability for safety and health problems caused by other employers, OSHA's catch-all "general duty clause," criminal liability, regulation of toxic chemicals in the workplace and employee rights on safety and healthy risks.The speakers will be Denise A. Dragoo and Jathan W. Janove, attorneys with the law firm of Fabian and Clendenin; Douglas M. McVey, director of the State Industrial Commission's Occupational Safety and Health Division; and Kent Winterholler, an attorney with the law firm of Parsons Behle and Latimer.
