Marlin Alma Nielson, age 78; passed away November 20, 1990 in a Salt Lake care center.
Born August 14, 1912 in Ephriam, Utah; to Mons Alma and Aigia Mortenson Nielson. He married Clara Deaun Hermansen on August 23, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He was a retired life insurance salesman. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sang in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Jay Welch Choral and University of Utah Chorus. Music was a big part of his life.
Survivors, wife, Salt Lake; four daughters, Mrs. Joe (Nola) Ferrando; Jeannie Allsup, both Salt Lake; Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Ballard, Kent, Washington; Mrs. Reed (Linda) Peterson, Mesa, Arizona; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Roger D., Tooele; Thelma Olsen, Ephriam; Ruth Blain, Salt Lake; aunts, Virgia Cowley and Vera Morrey both Salt Lake. Preceded in death by one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 noon at the South Cottonwood 3rd LDS Ward, 981 East 5600 So.; where friends may call Friday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Interment Murray City Cemtery. Funeral directors Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.
