Ray Louis Olsen, 88, returned to his Eternal Father and sweetheart and family, November 19, 1990.
Born January 21, 1902 in Orem, Utah to Moroni Louis and Ella Melinda Newell Olsen, the oldest of nine children. He married Lucinda Jane Duke on August 20, 1924, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, then moved to Bingham Canyon and obtained employment with Utah Copper Company. She preceded him in death on June 13, 1988.He was an active member of the LDS Church, holding many positions. His hobbies consisted of fishing, hunting, gardening, music, poetry, and genealogy.
Survived by daughters, Mrs. Wallace (Donna Rae) Beckstead, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Col. Edward M. (Arla) Beck, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Dr. Leon (Karen) Barnwell, Eugene, Ore.; Mrs. Lee (Cherri Jane) Seifert, Copperton; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Lundgren, Ruby Larsen, Lucile Brisk, and Merlene Moss. Preceded in death by three daughters, Cleora, Rhea Lou Wilcox, and Jenna Vee Robison.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 1990 at 11 a.m. in the Copperton Ward Chapel, Copperton. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Saturday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
